Luxury Spa Hotels in Mallorca: 12 Selected and Ranked

Tripplo· Founder: Axel Hernborg· Last updated 18 September 2026

In short: Twelve luxury spa hotels in Mallorca, each verified for a genuine spa operation and ranked by real guest reviews. Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa pairs a comprehensive thermal spa with a quiet position by S'Albufera Natural Park. Son Brull offers a monastery spa retreat inland, and Es Príncep a spa base in Palma's old town.

Mallorca's spa scene stretches from monastery estates tucked into the Tramuntana foothills to rooftop circuits above Palma's old town, and the standard across the island has risen sharply as more hotels compete for the same wellness-minded guest.

The review analysis covers a sample of 355 reviews from 6 of the 12 hotels listed. Mentions are counted after automated classification of texts that may be shortened. Latest analysis in this selection: August 2026. How we count mentions.

Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa1
Google4.9· 907 reviews
Booking9.5· 653 reviews

Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa on Playa de Muro has a documented indoor pool, sauna/steam room, hydrotherapy and its own named treatments. The current menu permits children in the pool at specified times. A permanently separate adults-only spa area is not confirmed.

The setting suits guests who want birdwatching trails and sauna sessions in the same stay, though the decor leans traditional and dining options nearby are limited.

Why this rank: Grupotel leads because our combined review component is the strongest in this selection. Its five-star category and documented indoor pool, hydrotherapy and named treatments support the result, even though spa-specific review praise and a permanently separate adults-only spa remain unconfirmed. Children may use the pool at specified times.

Son Brull near Pollença also welcomes children. Spa and gym access starts at 16; the main pool has separate age rules. The spa has a documented indoor pool, sauna, hydrotherapy and signature treatments.

Why this rank: Son Brull now has all seven spa criteria documented, including hydrotherapy and signature treatments. It edges ahead of El Llorenç because our combined review component is higher, while both have five stars and the same spa-criteria score. The hotel welcomes children; spa and gym access starts at 16.

El Llorenc Parc de la Mar - Adults Only (+16)3
Google4.7· 411 reviews
Booking9.4· 849 reviews

Service & staff: 30 of 30 mentions positive · Location: 16 of 16 mentions positive

El Llorenç Parc de la Mar, tucked into Palma's old town, scores 9.4 on Booking and pairs a complimentary spa with hydrotherapy circuits and a rooftop pool over the bay.

It's an adults-only city base for guests who want spa and sightseeing together, though parking in the narrow surrounding streets takes patience and rooftop loungers fill fast.

Why this rank: El Llorenç combines a fully documented set of spa criteria with a Palma city setting. It sits between Son Brull and Can Ferrereta because our combined review component falls between theirs; the spa-criteria and star components are equal for all three.

Rooftop pool with Palma Bay views
Comprehensive complimentary spa facilities
Prime location in historic Palma
Sophisticated adults-only atmosphere
Navigating narrow streets for parking
Rooftop lounge chairs fill quickly
Can Ferrereta4

Can Ferrereta

Mallorca, Spain

Google4.7· 242 reviews
Booking9.7· 207 reviews

Can Ferrereta in Santanyí welcomes guests aged 14 and over. Its spa has a documented indoor pool, sauna/steam room, hydrotherapy and signature treatments. It is therefore not a hotel with a blanket minimum age of 18.

Why this rank: Can Ferrereta’s confirmed indoor pool, hydrotherapy and signature treatments remove the gaps in its earlier spa assessment. With all seven criteria documented, it finishes above Can Bordoy despite a lower result in our combined review component. Hotel guests are welcome from 14, not only from 18.

Adults-only tranquility throughout the property
Two swimming pools including seasonal outdoor option
Comprehensive spa and wellness center
Highly rated breakfast experience
Central Santanyi location within walking distance
Seasonal outdoor pool limits year-round use
Adults-only policy excludes families with children
Airport shuttle likely requires advance booking
Can Bordoy Grand House GL Member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts5
Google4.8· 702 reviews
Booking9.3· 326 reviews

Service & staff: 16 of 16 mentions positive · Location: 12 of 12 mentions positive

Can Bordoy in Palma has a private spa with documented steam room and hydrotherapy, and treatments using SCENS and Omorovicza. External hotel listings specify spa access from 16, with adult supervision for ages 16–17. The garden pool is outdoors; year-round heating and an indoor pool are not confirmed.

It suits couples wanting a boutique city base with genuine garden space, though parking is scarce nearby. Whether several reviews specifically praise the spa is not established.

Why this rank: Can Bordoy suits travellers seeking a private city spa with steam, hydrotherapy and branded treatments. Its indoor-pool criterion and spa-specific review praise remain unknown. It narrowly leads Es Príncep through our combined review component; their overall spa-criteria and star components are equal.

Expansive private garden in Old Town

Es Príncep sits in Palma's old town at 9.5 on Booking, built around a subterranean thermal spa circuit with hydrotherapy and a rooftop terrace over the bay.

Food-focused city guests do well here, though some rooms get limited natural light, the rooftop pool is modest in size. Whether several reviews specifically praise the spa is not established.

Why this rank: Es Príncep has a documented indoor pool, hydrotherapy and named-brand treatments. A separate adults-only spa and repeated spa-specific review praise remain unconfirmed. Our combined review component keeps it just above Pure Salt, whose spa documentation is more complete.

Limited natural light in some rooms
Rooftop pool size is relatively modest
Pure Salt Port Adriano - Adults Only7
Google4.7· 850 reviews
Booking9· 328 reviews

Service & staff: 48 of 52 mentions positive · The rooms: 36 of 41 mentions positive

Pure Salt Port Adriano scores 9.0 on Booking, an adults-only hotel with a sauna-equipped spa that guests single out for its calm, set above the marina at Port Adriano.

It fits golfers and couples wanting quiet over nightlife, though the walk down to the beach is steep and lively bars are some distance away.

Why this rank: Pure Salt’s indoor pool, hydrotherapy and signature treatments are now documented alongside the other spa criteria. That complete coverage lifts it above Es Racó despite a weaker result in our combined review component.

Cliffside views of Port Adriano
Complimentary beach shuttle service
Quiet, adults-only spa environment
Convenient access to golf courses
Steep walk to the beach
Distance from lively nightlife hubs
Es Raco d'Arta, Mallorca, a Member of Design Hotels8
Google4.6· 257 reviews
Booking9.4· 417 reviews

Es Racó d'Artà scores 9.4 on Booking and offers Watsu treatments in warm water at its spa, backed by sauna sessions and a year-round outdoor pool in secluded countryside near Artá.

Guests praise the spa and the breakfast here, though the property sits a proper drive from the airport and needs a car for almost everything else.

Why this rank: Es Racó has documented indoor-pool and treatment provision; the remaining spa gap is whether there is a separate adults-only area. Its five-star category and fuller spa documentation offset a weaker result in our combined review component than Albufera Playa. The spa setting does not establish a natural hot spring.

Spa with Watsu treatments in warm water
Secluded countryside setting near Artá
Exceptional, highly-rated breakfast spread
Year-round outdoor pool and spa
Rooms with kitchenettes and fireplaces
45-mile distance from airport
Countryside location requires a car
Limited proximity to major attractions
Iberostar Albufera Playa9
Google4.8· 5,058 reviews
Booking9.1· 522 reviews

Location: 27 of 28 mentions positive · Service & staff: 26 of 45 mentions positive

Iberostar Albufera Playa, a four-star all-inclusive on Playa de Muro, scores 9.1 on Booking with a modernised spa offering hydrotherapy and sauna alongside direct beach access.

It suits families wanting spa time built into an all-inclusive stay, though premium restaurants need booking ahead and the pool areas get busy in high season.

Why this rank: Albufera Playa stays above Jumeirah because our combined review component is substantially stronger, despite its four-star category and less complete spa documentation. Signature treatments and repeated spa-specific review praise remain unknown; neither is treated as a confirmed absence.

Direct access to Playa de Muro
Quiet national park adjacent location
Extensive outdoor pool facilities
Modernized wellness and spa spaces
Premium dining requires prior reservation
Busy pool areas in high season
Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa10
Google4.6· 1,184 reviews
Booking9.3· 295 reviews

Jumeirah Port Sóller scores 9.3 on Booking for its cliff-top Talise Spa, which combines hydrotherapy with signature treatments and looks out over the Tramuntana coastline.

It's built for guests who want a resort spa with real scale, though the paths around the cliffside site are steep and the nearest sandy beach is some way off.

Why this rank: Jumeirah documents hydrotherapy, signature treatments and spa praise in reviews. It narrowly exceeds Can Simoneta because its spa evidence is more complete, despite a lower result in our combined review component. A separate adults-only spa remains unconfirmed.

Cliffside infinity pool with sea views
Comprehensive cliff-top Talise Spa
Balconies with Tramuntana mountain vistas
Locally sourced Balearic dining options
Steep walking paths throughout resort
Distance from the sandy beach
Can Simoneta - Adults Only11
Google4.8· 346 reviews
Booking9.5· 198 reviews

Can Simoneta sits on a clifftop above Canyamel, an adults-only hotel scoring 9.5 on Booking with two pools, hydrotherapy and direct — if cliffside — beach access.

The 140-year-old building suits couples wanting sea views with their spa, though the single restaurant limits dining variety and the drive from the airport is long.

Why this rank: Can Simoneta has documented hydrotherapy, but its indoor pool, signature treatments and repeated spa-specific review praise remain unconfirmed. Those gaps leave it below Jumeirah despite a stronger result in our combined review component; unknown does not mean the facility is absent.

Clifftop setting with direct beach access
Adults-only tranquility throughout the property
Historic 140-year-old building with character
Spa treatments and two swimming pools
Sea-view restaurant with a la carte dining
Distance from Palma de Mallorca airport
Limited dining variety with one restaurant
Beach access involves cliffside terrain
Castillo Hotel Son Vida - Adults Only, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mallorca12
Google4.6· 1,661 reviews
Booking9· 419 reviews

Castillo Hotel Son Vida closes the list at 9.0 on Booking, a thirteenth-century castle above Palma with an extensive spa across three pools and views over the bay.

Golfers and couples after an adults-only retreat near the city do well here, though the beach is a drive away and it isn't set up for families.

Why this rank: Castillo Hotel Son Vida documents an indoor pool and spa praise in reviews. Hydrotherapy and signature treatments remain unknown, and it has the lowest result in our combined review component within this selection, keeping it twelfth. Its five-star category alone does not outweigh those differences.

Historic 13th-century castle setting
Adults-only tranquility near Palma
Extensive spa with three pools
Panoramic views over Palma Bay
Surrounded by four golf courses
Beach requires a short drive
Airport transfer takes some time
Not suited for families with children

How we ranked

This ranking covers the 12 hotels in the existing selection. It combines the previously calculated Booking and Google guest component (55 percent), documented spa criteria (30 percent) and star category (15 percent). The guest component accounts for review volume. Spa criteria cover a dedicated spa, indoor pool, sauna/steam room, hydrotherapy, signature treatments, spa praise in reviews and an adults-only spa. Unknown criteria are not treated as no and are left out of the proportion of known answers. However, a separate adjustment for evidence coverage reduces the spa score when less is known. Unknown therefore does not mean fully confirmed. On 18 September 2026, we recalculated scores and order using the reviewed factual corrections from 10–11 September and Grupotel’s five-star category. Guest inputs and weights remain unchanged. This updates the existing selection; it is not a new assessment of every hotel on the island.

Where in Mallorca are the best spa hotels?

Palma's old town carries the largest cluster: Palma (El Llorenç, Can Bordoy, Es Príncep, Castillo Hotel Son Vida) covers everything from rooftop hydrotherapy pools to a subterranean thermal circuit, all within the historic centre or its immediate hillside. On the north coast, Playa de Muro (Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa, Iberostar Albufera Playa) pairs beachfront positions with spa facilities built for longer stays, while Port de Sóller (Jumeirah Port Sóller) has the island's most dramatic cliff-top spa setting.

Inland and along the quieter coast, Pollença (Son Brull) and Artá (Es Racó d'Artà) hold the rural, countryside-style spa estates; Es Racó offers Watsu treatments in warm water. Canyamel (Can Simoneta), Santanyí (Can Ferrereta) and Santa Ponsa (Pure Salt Port Adriano) complete the selection with smaller spa hotels; Can Ferrereta welcomes guests from age 14.

Updated 18 September 2026: The earlier factual corrections now inform the scores and order of these 12 hotels. The facts come from the documented source review of 10–11 September; Grupotel’s five stars were checked on 18 September. Unknowns remain unknown. This supersedes the earlier note that scores were unchanged. Grupotel · Son Brull · Can Ferrereta
