Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Multi-generational groups who prioritise pool options and convenient dining will enjoy Zafiro Palace Palmanova. Guests rate it well on both Google and Booking.com. This five-star resort delivers nine outdoor pools, five distinct dining venues, and a central location near the coastline. On the downside, the high guest volume during peak season means the resort gets crowded, and evening entertainment can be audible in some guest rooms.
Guests score it 8.8 out of 10 — the average across the 54 hotels we list on Mallorca is 9.1.

Things to Consider
- Due to its popularity with families and large capacity, communal areas can become crowded during mid-summer, though the multiple pools help distribute the guest load effectively.

What guests say
Reviews from Google“Fantastic service at the veranda restaurant during the evening! Gluten free can be tricky to eat out on holiday but this place had so many options and the staff were so accommodating! Also very knowledgeable and careful to reassure us that the meal was gluten free. There wasn’t anything that I wasn’t able to order and it made our meal a real treat! Absolutely fantastic food quality and lovely, friendly, polite and helpful service from Jonny and Mark, as well as a very smiley lady who was so kind, but didn’t manage to get her name! Thank you so much. We recommend this restaurant, do not miss out eating here during your stay! Especially if you’re gluten free!”
“Kid friendly. Pools good and kids pool area is good for under 10s, 5min from beach. There was a playground with slides and bouncy castle. Staff were all friendly throughout. Rooms. Good and spacious. There was a free late checkout because we booked through the website. There was lots of rooms poolside and it didnt feel it was crowded. It was also far enough away from the beach and bars that it was quiet. Food. The buffet was sub par for coeliacs. Staff in the buffet would benefit from training on cross contamination and should inform guests up front what gluten free options were available in the kitchen (we only found out pizza and pasta could be made because another guest told us). However the a la carte restaurants were excellent for coeliacs. Staff (jefe de sections) were very knowledgeable and most dishes could be adapted. Given we were able to eat at these restaurants for 4 nights of our stay it more than made up for the short falls in the buffet.”
“Really lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous food and big spacious rooms. We had a lovely stay here as a family. The only slight mention for improvement would be to staff more at the swim up bar. It was really busy and 1 person serving was just not enough and you had to wait a long time to get served. Certainly not the bar staff fault, they worked so hard and always had a smile, just only got 1 pair of hands! Excellent location, short walk to the beach and shops.”
“Just back from our second stay in two years at Zafiro Palace Palmanova. We had a great holiday here and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. The staff who run the kids club and mini disco are absolutely fantastic! They give full energy day-in-day-out to all the kids and are a great credit to the hotel. It shows it must be a good place to work as we saw many of the same staff as last year! The selection of food on offer is of great quality and variety every day, there really is something for everyone at the buffet. We had all inclusive this time and really felt it offers great value for money given the selection of drinks on offer. There are some really nice touches, like table service in the bar in the evening which is really appreciated. We had a swim-up room last year and a junior penthouse suite this year and I would definitely recommend the swim-up more (although both rooms were lovely) I would only advice that if you are on an adults only holiday then I would go in term time as it really is geared towards families with children and can be a bit hectic with children all over the place. Only small negative was our bed was a bit creaky and the A/C could have been a bit cooler but pretty minor gripes overall, will return for sure.”
“such a great hotel and team. Reception and staff in the restaurants were a particular standout , they just could not do enough. The only thing preventing a 5 star on service is the pool bars. It took a very long time to get served, often 1 bar person having to make the huge amount of cocktails being ordered. Very impressed that cocktails are made from scratch with high quality ingredients, not the machines as we have seen in other places. Kids entertainment was very good and the team that run this were on point at all times. Would very much recommend for families, maybe a bit noisey for couples. But the strip and beach are very close. We will be back.”
