Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Santorini

“We booked Mystique Santorini for our wedding stay and were extremely disappointed with the experience. We reserved a premium room category based on the hotel’s advertised room presentation, but the room we were placed in did not match what we reasonably expected from the listing, photos, and price point. In my opinion, the room felt significantly below the standard we booked for such an important stay. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. On our wedding day, the room was not cooling adequately while my wife and others were getting ready. The space became extremely hot and uncomfortable, which added unnecessary stress to an already time-sensitive day. The hotel eventually moved us to another room, but only after we raised the issue. From our perspective, the replacement still did not match the room experience we believed we had booked. Because this was our wedding stay, switching hotels at that point was not realistically practical due to the schedule, luggage, guests, and prepaid nature of the reservation. For a hotel at this price point, I expected much better handling, clearer room representation, and a more meaningful resolution. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone booking for a wedding, honeymoon, or important occasion confirm the exact room, layout, photos, and air conditioning expectations in writing before arrival.”

“The Mystique (Oia) is beautiful, as is Oia and the whole island. Oia and Fira are both nice towns with lots of shops and dining. Mystique is a great location - quiet and only 10 mins walk to town. The staff are wonderful. They are easy to communicate with, very accommodating, helpful, and very friendly. We cannot say enough about them. The food is delicious. We would definitely go back. We also recommend the hiking path from Fira to Oia. We would rate it between a moderate and difficult hike. It's steep with lots of rocks and gravel. Great views. A word of caution - if you have trouble with steps, do not stay at Mystique. There are a ton and they are very steep and uneven.”

“Mystique Hotel in Santorini is unforgettable!!! You will be mesmerized by the dramatic views with a sweeping overlook of the Aegean Sea! That coupled with incredible service that has turned a great stay into an exceptional one is why we will be back! The location and vistas are worth the trip. Wherever you are in the property, the sea frames the horizon. Even the gym has incredible views as you are running on the treadmill; it was another luxury we won’t forget. Breakfast is incredible with freshly squeezed orange juice and a generous made-to-order spread (eggs, breads, pancakes, yogurt bowls, and fresh fruit) that consistently starts the day perfectly. Service here is exemplary. The Hotel Manager, Manos Krasadakis, is extremely accommodating and highly effective. He ensured everything ran smoothly and personally elevated our experience. Maria and Marilena provided incredible customer service, patiently helping with multiple questions and logistics with warmth and efficiency. Don’t miss a spa treatment! We had outstanding massages with the therapists on staff; my massage with Balu, who’s been at the property for 14 years, was exceptional and quickly explains his long tenure. If you want dramatic views, refined comfort, a quick walk to Oia and genuinely attentive staff, Mystique is an excellent choice! Thank you Mystique for a very memorable family vacation and we can't wait to return soon!!!”

“We've only spent our first afternoon and evening at Mystique, yet it has already exceeded our expectations. From the very first moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Every interaction throughout our arrival was warm, thoughtful, and effortless. The valet team welcomed us with sincere smiles and even took the time to chat with our children, making them feel comfortable and excited from the very beginning. It was a small gesture that left a lasting first impression. The front desk team was equally outstanding. Rather than simply checking us in, they thoughtfully introduced the hotel, recommended the best location and timing for tonight's sunset, suggested another breathtaking viewpoint for tomorrow morning, and shared valuable local tips that only someone who truly loves Santorini would offer. They genuinely wanted us to experience the destination, not simply stay at a beautiful hotel. Walking into our room was another delightful surprise. A handwritten welcome card, sparkling wine, traditional Santorini pastries, fresh juice, and beautifully prepared refreshments were waiting for us. Every detail reflected genuine care and attention, and the room service team delivered everything with warmth and professionalism. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, I've stayed at many Marriott properties around the world, and the welcome we received here immediately stood out. Communication via WhatsApp has been prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay so far. Mystique's location is truly exceptional. Being only a few minutes' walk from Oia Castle allows guests to experience one of the world's most iconic sunsets with remarkable convenience. Watching visitors from around the world gather to celebrate the sunset was unforgettable. Yet what makes staying at Mystique truly special begins after sunset. As the applause faded and the crowds slowly disappeared, Oia returned to its peaceful rhythm. Walking back through the quiet white pathways, while the caldera settled into silence and the village lights gradually illuminated the cliffs, became an unforgettable experience in itself. For many visitors, sunset marks the end of their journey. For us, staying at Mystique, it marked the beginning of the most peaceful and magical part of the evening. Some destinations are remembered for their sunsets. Mystique will be remembered for the unforgettable moments that followed. We still have three wonderful nights ahead, and we already know this will be one of the most memorable stays of our European journey. “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely unforgettable stay! The team at Mystique is simply outstanding. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. They helped us plan our days, accommodated every request with kindness, and even assisted us when we had an issue with our rental car. Nothing was ever too much to ask. The service is among the best we've ever experienced, and it's the people who make this hotel so special. The only suggestion I have is to clearly mention on the website and booking platforms that the hotel is not suitable for guests with limited mobility, as there are many stairs throughout the property. Other than that, everything was perfect. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend this hotel!”
