“⭐️ €300 for an extremely disappointing “luxury” experience For a venue positioning itself at the luxury end of the Santorini market, our experience at Cavo Tagoo Santorini has been astonishingly poor. We paid €300 for pool-front beds, yet on arrival we were allocated the worst-positioned beds around the pool. When we asked to swap to other vacant ones, we were told that the actual pool-front beds are reserved for hotel guests. This is information that should have been disclosed BEFORE accepting our €300 booking. What makes this particularly unacceptable is that we exchanged at least 10 emails with the Cavo Tagoo team before our visit. There were numerous opportunities to explain that, despite paying €300 for what we understood to be pool-front beds, hotel guests would be given priority for the actual pool-front locations. Had we been told this, we simply would not have booked. The service has also been almost non-existent. For €300, you would expect a genuinely premium level of attention. Instead, we have spent the day wondering where the service actually is. Then there is the food. Our booking ran until 5pm, but the kitchen apparently closes at 4pm. Again, something that would have been useful to communicate in advance when selling a premium luxury experience. There seems to be a huge disconnect between the images being sold and the experience actually delivered to non-hotel guests. Santorini has no shortage of spectacular venues. Charging luxury prices is easy. Delivering luxury service, being transparent about what customers are actually purchasing, and making them feel valued is what justifies those prices. Based on our experience, Cavo Tagoo failed badly on all three. Beautiful location. Terrible value. Poor communication. Almost non-existent service. (Ps: it overlooks a road) We absolutely would not pay €300 for this experience again.”

“We chose Cavo Tagoo Santorini for dinner (Roka Restaurant) because of its incredible reputation and breathtaking views, and the scenery absolutely lived up to the hype. Watching the sunset over the caldera was the highlight of the evening and is truly what you’re paying for. The atmosphere and setting are unforgettable. That said, we found the food and drinks to be average, especially considering the price. We spent nearly $300 USD on dinner and drinks for two, and unfortunately left still feeling hungry. We actually ended up stopping in Fira afterward for gyros because we weren’t satisfied. If you’re looking for an amazing sunset view and a beautiful ambiance, Cavo Tagoo is definitely worth visiting. However, if your priority is exceptional food and value for money, our experience didn’t quite meet the expectations that came with the price tag. Overall, we’re glad we went for the views, but we probably wouldn’t return for dinner.”

“The setting at Cavo Tagoo Santorini is truly breathtaking. The sunset view is spectacular and creates an unforgettable atmosphere. The food is exceptional, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. From a culinary perspective, it was an excellent experience. Unfortunately, the service completely changed our overall impression. The staff were constantly interrupting our meal, coming to the table every couple of minutes to clear glasses that were still half full or to remove items before we had finished using them. It felt rushed rather than attentive. The most disappointing part was that although our table was reserved for two hours, after only an hour and a half the staff brought us the bill and asked us to pay while we still had 30 minutes remaining on our reservation. This made us feel like we were being pushed out before our allotted time had ended and completely spoiled what should have been a relaxing fine dining experience. The location and the cuisine deserve five stars, but the rushed and overly intrusive service significantly detracted from the experience. I sincerely hope the management addresses this, because this restaurant has the potential to be truly outstanding.”

“My husband and I spent a day here by the pool. Upon arrival, our car was parked by the staff, and we immediately felt the level of luxury and service this place offers. The food was delicious and fresh, and the staff were attentive and made sure everything was taken care of throughout the day. The music was also perfect in terms of volume. It was calm, relaxing music, not loud dance music, which really added to the peaceful atmosphere. Our only disappointment was that it wasn’t clearly communicated beforehand that the menu differs from the evening menu. We had expected to be able to order sushi throughout the day, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. However, the restrooms could have been cleaner. The women’s toilet, in particular, did not flush properly for the entire day, which was quite inconvenient. Overall it was a wonderful experience. One small downside was that when we paid and left a fairly generous tip, we weren’t thanked for it, which gave the impression that this might be something they are already used to.”

“An excellent dining experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, the service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was elegant and relaxing. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Santorini. Highly recommended!”
