Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels

This property is ideal for families and dining enthusiasts who value on-site variety. Guests speak well of it on Booking.com and Google. Guests benefit from direct access to Playa Dorada beach, eight on-site restaurants, and spacious suites with functional kitchenettes. However, be aware that the large resort layout requires significant walking, and seasonal crowds gather during school holiday periods.

Located on the seafront of Playa Blanca, Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort blends traditional Canarian architecture with comprehensive modern amenities. Its combination of extensive wellness facilities and diverse dining makes it a versatile choice for both couples and multi-generational groups visiting Lanzarote.

Guests score it 8.7 out of 10 — the average across the 13 hotels we list on Lanzarote is 8.8.

  • The hotel’s position on the promenade provides immediate access to the golden sands of Playa Dorada. Guests can transition from the pool deck to the beach within minutes via a secure gate.
  • The 2,000-square-meter Thalasso center utilizes seawater treatments and therapeutic rituals for a comprehensive wellness experience. It features a structured hydrotherapy circuit and specialized massage cabins for refined relaxation.

“Spent 5 days at this resort, firstly can I say the staff were exceptional!! Nothing was too much trouble, always friendly and helpful, so impressed and grateful. The food is outstanding and the selection is pretty amazing. Rooms large, maybe a little dated but otherwise couldn't complain. The only reason im rating it a 4 star rather than 5 is for 2 reasons. Water- asking for water at dinner would cost you...quickly adds up. Spa, to use the spa area and sit in the pool...35euro. Despite no one there etc. (Totally understand charging for treatments etc). Otherwise enjoyed my time there and again, the staff made it extra special!”

“This is our second time staying here, and it definitely won't be our last. We've had another fantastic holiday. The hotel itself is brilliant. The food is excellent, the facilities are spotless, and everything is so well looked after. But what really makes this place stand out is the people. From the warm welcome when we arrived, to the restaurant staff, to the lovely lady who cleaned our room every day, everyone was so friendly and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great holiday. The biggest thank you has to go to the Kids' Club/Animation team. They were absolutely amazing with our children and honestly made the holiday for them—and for us. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and endless energy were incredible, and our kids looked forward to seeing them every single day. They are a real credit to the hotel. It's the staff that turn a great hotel into a truly special one, and that's exactly why we came back a second time. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone and can't wait to return again.”

“Another exceptional stay at our favourite Playa Blanca hotel! We have just returned from our second stay at the Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel, and once again, it was exceptional. Ideally situated between the Marina and the Harbour with direct beach access, the hotel is traditionally decorated and visually stunning. The staff are truly the heart of the resort; they are incredibly warm, friendly, and consistently go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. We stayed in the Family Suites, located a short, convenient walk through the connection tunnel. These rooms are perfect for a growing family, offering two separate bedrooms (with full-size beds for the children), a spacious master suite, and a functional kitchenette. Despite the hotel being at full capacity, the atmosphere remained remarkably calm and quiet. With a diverse selection of food and drink to suit every palate, it remains our favourite hotel in Playa Blanca. It offers high-level quality and great value for the space provided—we are already looking at dates for next year!”

The food was delicious and was brought to us fast in every restaurant and bar. There are many relaxing pools. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.”

“Wanted to love the hotel but it just wasn't a 5 star experience I was expecting. I've stayed at better 4 star hotels. The room was nice and big but the AC was no good, even at max the room was still warm despite the outdoor temp being mild. 2 lights in the bathroom broke, which were replaced promptly. The hotel did look quite nice and had a pleasant vibe, bit of a carribean / pirate ship / cruise ship vibe. Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was disappointing quality - some of it was nice, but some staples were lacking or completely missing. And it was the exact same food every single day. It was also busy and 2 of the 3 breakfast restaurants were indoors and dimly lit. The pools were average I would say, not huge, no real vibe or interesting layout or views, only 1 was heated (some days were colder than others for some reason), and the jacuzzis were not heated! It's not a jacuzzi if not heated... There were bits floating in the jacuzzis whenever I passed them (so no one ever used them), and bits in the pools too, on the surface and on the bottom - it didn't seem like they were cleaned regularly. There was a plaster stuck to the outdoor steps, which one would think would be picked up from staff regularly cleaning but no, it was still there a week later! Gross. There was also just lots of litter and bottles and things lying around that no one seemed to clean during the day. It just didn't give 5 star vibes. The evening entertainment was okay I guess, if you're a 5 year old child. I didn't see any adult entertainment on offer other than some singers at the upper bar area with the sofas. I didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants because the prices were about double what you'd pay at those restaurants along the promenade. Location was good in terms of being next to the beach but there's not much to do or see in the area and it felt quite isolated. Parking was okay but for a couple of days the car park was completely full up which was a nightmare. Also it got annoying with cleaners coming in the room constantly, probably 3 times a day, one of them was just to hand out water, they would open the door just 3 seconds after knocking, it felt intrusive. I visited the spa and was also a bit disappointed, I've seen better spas. There was no outdoor pool or salty floatarium I've seen at other hotel spas. Thankfully it was included for free as I would have resented paying for it (I think they charge 25 euros!). So overall I expected better for a 5 star and all the positive reviews. Hopefully the hotel sees this and fixes some of the basics like the outdoor and pool cleaning and perhaps hires a new chef for the breakfast buffet.”
