Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Le Meridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa is built for days that never need to leave the resort. It sits on Bangsak beach, away from the busier centre of Khao Lak, and the large main pool, the gardens and the sand are all within a few steps of each other. Guests talk most warmly about the staff and the breakfast, and families appreciate the kids' club, the games room and the steady programme of activities. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pool-access rooms and pool villas make the most of the setting. The quiet location is also the main trade-off, since restaurants and bars outside the resort depend on the shuttle or a taxi. Some guests have run into maintenance noise, and a few parts of the resort could use a refresh. Families and couples who plan to stay put will find a well-run, friendly base by the Andaman Sea.
Guests score it 9.2 out of 10 — the average across the 10 hotels we list in Khao Lak is 9.2.
What Guests Loved
- Service is the thread running through most reviews. Guests describe the staff as wonderful and welcoming, and some return year after year; one couple even held their wedding at the resort and could not fault the team.
- Breakfast at The Nest is praised more than anything else apart from the staff. Guests call it fabulous and varied, with food that is always fresh, though some would like more vegetarian Indian dishes.
Things to Consider
- Bangsak is quiet and away from town, which many guests enjoy, but location is the area where the resort scores lowest. Going out means relying on the shuttle, which one guest found basic and without air conditioning, or a taxi.
- Some guests stayed during maintenance work that caused noise around the grounds and affected one of the pools, and others felt parts of the resort, including the building exteriors, are ready for a refresh.
