10 luxury adults-only hotels on Kos: the best for 2026

10 luxury adults-only hotels on Kos: the best for 2026

Tripplo· Founder: Axel Hernborg· Last updated 15 September 2026

In short: We checked the age limit at sixteen hotels on Kos. Here are the ten that are adults-only under the hotels' own terms, plus the six we left out.

Adults-only is no exception on Kos: ten of the seventeen four- and five-star hotels we reviewed take only adults under their own published terms.

The review analysis covers a sample of 458 reviews from 10 of the 10 hotels listed. Mentions are counted after automated classification of texts that may be shortened. Latest analysis in this selection: September 2026. How we count mentions.

Why this rank: The island's second-broadest review base after D'Andrea, 693 reviews, with four of five criteria confirmed — including the calm, which is positive in every counted mention.

Booking 9.7 is the highest single score on the island, but it rests on 107 reviews, which carries less weight in the combined guest score.

Why this rank: Joint-highest single Booking score on the island alongside Villa Coo, but only 107 reviews behind it and fewer confirmed criteria than several others in the selection.

OKU Kos

Kos, Greece

Google4.6· 682 reviews
Booking9.3· 766 reviews

Food & restaurants: 51 of 65 mentions positive · Service & staff: 49 of 53 mentions positive

OKU Kos in Marmari is the most architecturally distinctive of the island's adults-only hotels, built low in the dunes with a pared-back aesthetic.

We have 766 reviews behind the score but too few counted mentions of noise levels to say anything about the quiet.

Why this rank: The largest base of reviews in the selection after D'Andrea, but we have not been able to confirm the quiet in the reviews and fewer criteria are known.

Direct access to a private sandy beach
Adults-only village-style layout
Comprehensive spa and wellness facilities
Exceptional breakfast with local ingredients
Located far from major town centers
Limited nearby public dining options

How we ranked the hotels

This ranking belongs to the theme alone and is separate from the general luxury order on the destination page. The guest score on Booking and Google counts for 55 per cent, weighted by how many reviews sit behind it. Verified facts count for 30 per cent: whether the hotel is adults-only under its own policy, whether guests describe it as quiet in the review mentions we count, whether there are adult-minded facilities such as a spa or a fine-dining restaurant, and whether there is an adults-only zone. Star rating counts for 15 per cent.

Anything we could not confirm counts as neither a yes nor a no. It is left out of the calculation and lowers the hotel's coverage at the same time, so a hotel with few confirmed criteria cannot climb on its guest score alone.

Where we quote a score we always name the source, for example Booking 9.6 or Google 4.9.

We have checked every hotel's age limit against the hotel's own page and set it out in the list.

This time we screened the island's whole four- and five-star field rather than only the hotels we already held, and added the adults-only properties we were missing. Sixteen hotels went through the review. Ten are adults-only under the hotels' own published terms and are ranked below. Six are not, or publish no policy at all, and they appear at the foot of the page with the reason.

Where on Kos should you stay?

Lambi, just north of Kos Town, is the island's densest adults-only quarter. Lango, Theros, ARATO, Diamond Deluxe and Blue Pearls are all here, within walking distance of the town's harbour and tavernas. Theros and ARATO are the two newest arrivals: Theros on the beach, ARATO a block inland.

Kos Town suits anyone who wants a real town outside the hotel gates. Aqua Blu sits on the edge of it, close enough to walk in and far enough out to escape the noise, while Villa Coo is right in the middle of town, ten minutes on foot from the harbour.

Marmari on the north coast has the island's widest sandy beach and its largest resorts. D'Andrea Lagoon and OKU Kos are here, twenty minutes from the airport.

Kardamena and the south coast lean more towards families, and that is also where several of the hotels we left out are to be found.

Hotels we reviewed but left out

Six hotels went through the same review without making the list. In every case the reason is the adults-only policy, not the quality.

NISSEA Boutique Hotel — Booking 9.7 from 283 reviews, the highest single score on the island alongside Blue Pearls. The hotel's own site states no age limit and no adults-only policy, and the room description for the Aktaia Suite in fact specifies two adults and one child. We do not list a hotel as adults-only without a published policy. Get in touch if you know more and we will look again.

Astir Odysseus — Booking 9.2 from 592 reviews. A strong hotel in Tigaki. It does, however, take children. One single room type carries an 18 limit, which does not make the hotel adults-only.

Neptune Luxury Resort — Booking 9.2 from 656 reviews. A family resort in Mastichari; the gym has a 15 limit, the rest of the hotel does not.

Ikos Aria — Booking 8.6. A family resort in Kefalos with a kids' club. The spa pool has a 16 limit, the rest of the hotel does not.

Cabana Blu Hotel & Suites — Booking 9.1. The hotel describes itself as adults-friendly and requires guests to be 18 at check-in, but publishes no age limit for guests. That is not enough for our list.

Albergo Gelsomino — Booking 9.3. A small three-star house in Kos Town with no published adults-only policy.

AnamneZia Luxury Suites — Booking 9.8 from 131 reviews, a small suite property in the mountain village of Zia. The hotel's conditions on Booking state that children over 12 are welcome, which is not an adults-only policy by our definition.

A hotel missing from the list is not one we think poorly of. It means either that the hotel takes children, or that we found no published age limit to go on.

Frequently Asked Questions

It varies from hotel to hotel: most apply a limit of 16 (OKU Kos, KOIA, Aqua Blu, Diamond Deluxe), D'Andrea Lagoon 17, and Lango, Theros and ARATO are the strictest at 18. Villa Coo applies 16 under the hotel's conditions on Booking. The limits are verified against the hotels' own terms and shown in the comparison table above — always double-check when you book, as policies can change.

Yes — choose Lambi or Kos Town. Aqua Blu is a kilometre from Kos Town, Villa Coo sits in the middle of it, and Lango, Theros, ARATO, Blue Pearls and Diamond Deluxe are reachable on foot or with a short taxi ride. The Marmari hotels (D'Andrea, OKU) and KOIA at Agios Fokas realistically need a hire car or a taxi for anything beyond the hotel.

May to June and September to October: warm enough for the beach and the pool, noticeably quieter across the island and cheaper than high season. July and August are the hottest and the most heavily booked — the calm at the adults-only hotels holds up, but the beaches and Kos Town are at their busiest.

Kos airport (KGS) sits in the middle of the island. Lambi and Kos Town are about 25 kilometres away (30 to 35 minutes), Marmari about 15 kilometres (20 minutes) and Agios Fokas about 28 kilometres. Every hotel on the list arranges a transfer on request, and taxis are always on hand.
