Grand Hyatt Berlin is a large, modern hotel built for getting around the city. It stands right on Potsdamer Platz, so the Tiergarten, the Philharmonie and the Brandenburg Gate are all within walking distance, and guests mention easy connections from the airport. The rooms are spacious and well designed, with marble bathrooms and beds that guests keep praising, and the rooftop Club Olympus spa, with its pool, saunas and gym, is free for everyone staying. The staff win steady praise for being helpful and kind, and the breakfast for its variety. The weak spots are practical rather than fundamental. Air conditioning that does not keep rooms cool comes up more than once, the pool can feel crowded on hot days, and food and drink in the hotel are where guests feel least sure of the value.
