Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Château Monfort - Relais & Châteaux is highly recommended for lovers of whimsical interiors who prefer a quiet residential base. Backed by outstanding guest feedback on Booking.com, the property features early-20th-century Liberty architecture and opera-themed guest rooms. It also houses a subterranean spa with an indoor pool. However, the theatrical themed decor might not appeal to everyone, and there is a slight walk to the nearest metro station.
Guests score it 9.1 out of 10 — the average across the 13 hotels we list in Milan is 9.1.
What Guests Loved
- Each room is individually styled after classic ballets and operas, featuring parquet floors, custom headboards, and subtle design touches that avoid feeling dated.
- Housed in a beautifully restored Art Nouveau palace, the hotel retains original features like stained glass and decorative plasterwork, blending historic character with modern comforts.
Things to Consider
- While designed with contemporary flair, the fantasy-inspired design language and pastel palettes might not appeal to travelers who prefer minimalist or traditional styling.
- The nearest metro stations are about an eight-minute walk away, which may be inconvenient during inclement weather, though taxis are readily arranged by the concierge.
