Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Porto Galini Seaside Resort & Spa is ideal for travellers wanting direct access to a secluded beach on expansive grounds. Reviews on Google and Booking.com are consistently excellent. Guests benefit from a comprehensive spa, four swimming pools, and mature landscaping. However, the quiet location is remote from town, and guests must navigate significant walking across the estate.
Guests score it 9.1 out of 10 — the average across the 4 hotels we list on Lefkada is 9.2.
What Guests Loved
- The resort covers over forty thousand square meters of verdant gardens, providing a sense of privacy and space that is rare for seaside properties in Lefkada.
- With two outdoor pools and two indoor pools located within the spa, guests have ample choices for swimming regardless of the weather or season.
Things to Consider
- Situated 2.5 miles from Nidri, the resort offers tranquility but requires a vehicle or taxi for guests wanting to explore local dining and nightlife frequently.
- Due to the sprawling nature of the landscaped grounds, reaching certain amenities or room blocks may involve navigating stairs and long pathways across the hillside.

Reviews from Google“Honestly, this hotel was amazing. I had originally booked another hotel with a higher rating, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. In the end, that was the best thing that could have happened because I ended up staying here instead. In my opinion, it's hard to find a better hotel in Lefkada, especially when it comes to location, quality, and service. The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is very good, the pools are great, and the private beach is fantastic, with complimentary sunbeds and umbrellas. I would especially like to thank Angeliki and Markos at the reception. They made our stay truly enjoyable by giving us excellent recommendations on places to visit around the island and restaurants worth trying. I'd also like to thank Giannis at the reception and the waiter at the pool bar (I can't remember his name, but he was the tallest one! 😄) for their kindness and excellent service. Тhanks,”
“The resort is situated in a beautiful, quiet location. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, especially at the restaurants! I was also very pleased about how the manager reacted to some feedback we had mid-way through our stay. They really want the guests to have a good experience and it shows through their actions. It’s true that the rooms can be modernised to be up to the 5* standards, but it wasn’t really an inconvenience since we didn’t spend much time in the room during the day anyway.”
“We are a family of four from Albania, with two kids aged 11 and 15 and we stayed for 7 wonderful nights. We left today, and we already miss it! Everything was amazing — the food, the beautiful beach, the pools, the excellent service, the tennis court, and all the facilities. There was something for everyone. The whole experience was relaxing, comfortable, and perfect for a family holiday. The staff made us feel very welcome, and everything was so well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for an unforgettable week — highly recommended!”
“Beach and the view are perfect, reading past comments i think this year there are better measures in place to avoid people reserving umbrellas with towels. The drinks at the cafeteria could be better. In general the prices of all food and drinks are too expensive for Greece and lower quality than average Greek food. Breakfast was good. The people at the pool bar were friendly. The people at the reception are not so much friendly. They did not offer us any welcome drinks. They could not take initiative to say ok to our just 30 mins late check out request after 6 nights of stay. The lifeguard who gives new towels for the pool/beach did not renew our towel for no reason. He was busy with cleaning around the pool, he denied my husbands request to renew the towels which was still within the working hours in an unfriendly way. This left us with dirty towels for our last day next morning before our check out. Kids club existed but in practice no visibility. No real activities, in a remote area. No kinder disco etc. Nothing to appeal the kids. Please do not call this service kids club. It s just an unatractive indoor playing area with rusty smell and a friendly lady alone by herself.”
“Absolutely one of the best run hotels I’ve ever been to! To start, the location is breathtaking. It has everything you would want- beautiful beach with loungers, pools, spa, gym, and great food. It’s impeccably kept. Spotless. But what truly stands out was the warmth, generosity and friendliness of the staff. From the front desk and servers, to the kind Food and Beverage Manager who made our dinner feel memorable. The staff love the General Manager and owners. It’s truly special and I wish we could stay longer. An exceptional choice for Lefkada or any Greek destination!”
