What Guests Loved
- The resort features a diverse culinary program including Mediterranean, Italian, and American cuisines across ten restaurants. This variety provides guests with numerous gastronomic experiences ranging from casual beachfront dining to formal evening settings without leaving the property.
- Situated on a quiet stretch of the Adriatic coast, the hotel provides private access to the sandy shores of Lalëz Bay. The beach area is well-maintained with dedicated sun loungers, offering a more secluded experience than the public beaches.
Things to Consider
- Located approximately 30 kilometers from the historical heart of Durrës, the hotel requires a commute to reach the Roman Amphitheatre and city museums. Guests interested in frequent sightseeing may find the reliance on taxis or rentals necessary.

Reviews from Google“If paradise on Earth had a name, it would be The Level at Melia Durres. From the very first moment until the day we left, every experience was simply perfect. Every morning we were welcomed with genuine smiles from the entire team. After just a short time, they already knew our preferences. Our coffee and breakfast orders would arrive without even having to ask, making us feel truly at home. The exceptional service continued throughout the day by the pool, where every request was met with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Each evening ended with a wonderful dining experience that only The Level can offer. The quality of service, the atmosphere, and the dedication of the staff made every day unforgettable. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire The Level team, especially Altea, Fitim, Mirlinda, Elena, Fjorela, Malvina, Santiago, Klea, Noemi, Almira, Kledjana, and Adrian. Thank you for every moment, every smile, and every act of care you showed us throughout our stay. You did not simply provide excellent service; you created memories that will stay with us forever. The Level is not just a hotel experience, it is a place where guests are treated like family. We cannot wait to return.”
“I had a great experience at this beach bar. The location is beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere and a perfect spot to enjoy the beach. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my visit. A special thanks to Enis, Antonio, and Xhoed for their outstanding hospitality. They made us feel welcome and ensured everything was perfect. Their positive attitude and excellent customer service made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this beach bar to anyone looking for a great place to relax, enjoy good service, and spend time by the sea. I will definitely be back!”
“We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The food was fresh and of good quality, and everything felt clean and hygienic during the whole vacation. There was a good selection of drinks, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel also had great activities for children, which our family really appreciated. The WiFi worked very well everywhere , both around the hotel and down at the beach , without any problems during our stay. The cleaning was also very good, and the rooms were kept clean and tidy. Overall, we give the hotel a STRONG 4 out of 5. The only thing missing for a full score was that the children’s pool could have been heated to around 23–24 degrees. It would also have been nice if guests were allowed to bring a coffee or beer into the indoor pool area. We also would have liked a bigger selection of snacks, as chips were missing :).The experience would have been even better if the staff at the beach were a little less pushy about guests putting their towels in the laundry basket. Overall, it was a VERY good holiday experience that we would gladly recommend to others, and we are already planning our next trip back here.”
“The room was great. The minibar was quite basic, offering only water, coffee, and tea, and unfortunately the coffee and tea were not replenished every day. During the first few days, the service was less attentive. We were not asked what we would like to drink. After a few days, however, the service improved significantly, both at the bar and in the restaurant. Eralt and Farie were great!”
“Well where do I start! We had the pleasure of staying in the Melia Durres, the room was beautiful, the pool exactly as you see in the pictures, wow! The ambiance in the resort is wonderful, the staff make sure your stay is out of this world! From the waiting staff in the merkado, who were so attentive, the pool bar staff and pool staff who made our stay so relaxing and pleasant. The plaza bar we were always met with a warm welcome and a friendly smile, as was the same reaction from the sports bar staff. The overall experience was just so hard to describe apart from second to none! A special mention for Megi who is the Concierge in the hotel, her level of service and genuine respect, passion and aura is extremely rare! Megi is an incredible asset to the resort, the sunset we experienced thanks to Megi was unforgettable! If any senior management are able to read this, and could pass our special thanks to her for what she did for us, that been said you’d as well pull in all the staff and thank them for their hospitality. Thank you so much for our incredible experience of the resort and for our first look at their beautiful country of Albania”
