Reviews from Google“We visited El Fenn Rooftop bar tonight and absolutely loved everything about it. Beautiful decor and fantastic service by a gentleman called Idris. Idris looked after us so well and was happy to accommodate all my requests (I am fussy with my drinks and food). We ordered the lamb shank and the chicken dish from the restaurant menu. I only tried the lamb shank and it was the best I’ve ever had. We asked for it to be a bit spicy and it was the right amount spice. The mocktails were really good too and the grand finale was the chocolate fondant! It was so delicious and everything a chocolate fondant is meant to be, soft, gooey and rich. Would love to go back and highly recommend it.”
“El Fenn is one of those places where the design tells you immediately there’s a very specific creative vision behind it — you can feel the Branson influence: red accents, sleek styling, that polished lifestyle-driven aesthetic that instantly recalls the Virgin world. The décor is striking, the location excellent, and the rooftop has a great atmosphere. Service was very good throughout. A couple of small negatives: my towel was stained (unexpected at this level), and the only way up to the rooftop was via a staircase through the store — a bit inconvenient, though there may be another entrance we missed. Food-wise, the bread selection was excellent. Less convinced by the lobster ravioli — cheese on fish is a hard no for me (perhaps I’m too Italian), and it had a lemony aftertaste that overpowered the lobster. The beef, though, was beautifully cooked. Overall: stylish, atmospheric, very well put together. Well worth a visit in Marrakech.”
“El Fenn has been one of the highlights of our entire trip to Marrakech, and without question one of my favourite places we’ve visited. We started on the rooftop with cocktails overlooking the breathtaking Koutoubia Mosque. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Chic, stylish and luxurious, yet completely relaxed. It felt like an oasis above the busy streets below. Visiting at this time of year meant it was wonderfully quiet, which made it even more special. We spent a couple of hours simply soaking up the atmosphere, and honestly, I could have stayed there all afternoon. Afterwards we went downstairs for lunch and that was the moment I knew I’d be booking El Fenn for our next visit to Marrakech. On our waiter’s recommendation, we chose the Moroccan tasting menu, and it was one of the best decisions we made all holiday. Every course was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. We tried dishes we would never normally have ordered, and every one of them was delicious. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the sweet carrots or the saffron cauliflower. They were absolutely incredible. What I loved most about El Fenn was how it made us feel. After spending the morning exploring the souks, it was exactly what we needed. Calm, peaceful and effortlessly elegant. It truly feels like a hidden sanctuary in the heart of Marrakech. There are some places that are all hype, but El Fenn isn’t one of them. It completely lives up to its incredible reputation. We arrived expecting a lovely lunch and a few cocktails. We left planning our next trip to Marrakech around staying here. I honestly can’t wait to come back.”
“El Fenn is absolutely lovely. Stayed 4 nights and can't give enough praise. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is so kind and accommodating. They made our visit so much better than expected. The spa and quiet luxury of the space and gardens was well worth the price. Would highly recommend and would certainly visit again.”
“Just left the rooftop bar because they refused to serve me. Initially, they told me to wait on the side and someone would seat us. No one came. After seeing them seat everyone else, I asked when we would be seated to which they replied we can sit any where. We sat down, someone brought a menu but then no one returned to take our order. The restaurant was not busy at all so this was very weird. We decided to leave after being refused service. Came down the street to Kabana Rooftop and MUCH better! We were greeted with a friendly smile immediately upon arrival. Great service and great food. Would NOT recommend El Fenn if you have darker complexion. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because Google makes it easy on businesses to delete 1 star reviews. Otherwise they would have 1”
