Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Eden Roc Resort - All Inclusive is best for energetic families who enjoy pool activities and waterslides. Guest reviews are favourable overall. Features include direct access to a private pebbled beach, landscaped gardens, and extensive saltwater and waterslide pools. On the downside, the beach terrain is pebbled rather than sandy, and the seasonal air conditioning limits individual climate control.
Guests score it 8.5 out of 10 — the average across the 14 hotels we list on Rhodes is 9.1.

What Guests Loved
- Guests can step directly from the resort gardens onto a quiet, serviced stretch of Kallithea Beach, complete with complimentary loungers and clear Aegean waters.
- With Olympic-sized swimming areas, dedicated children's pools, and active water slides, the resort provides distinct aquatic zones for both recreation and quiet relaxation.
Things to Consider
- The private beach consists of pebbles rather than soft sand, which may be uncomfortable for some. Bringing water shoes makes swimming and walking along the shoreline much easier.
- In-room air conditioning operates on a seasonal schedule, meaning climate control may be limited during the cooler shoulder months of spring and autumn.

Reviews from Google“We stayed at the Eden Roc Resort Hotel, at the end of April, and it's the best hotel we've ever stayed in, I can't say a single bad word about any of our experience. The service was second to none, very friendly, helpful and professional and also efficient. The food was superb, the buffet restaurant had plenty of choice and the alacarte restaurants selection was plentiful, the food in some of these restaurants deserves a Michelin start, I had a steak in the Peruvian restaurant and it's the best I've ever had. The rooms, were always clean, beds comfy facilities new and updated, visually appealing and fresh! Changed daily The overall vibe from the hotel is relaxed, welcoming but efficient and works really well, at night it's very romantic and dimly lit which we loved, we went away to get relaxed and enjoy some well deserved downtime, And got exactly that. We never ever visit a hotel twice, However for the Eden Roc Resort Hotel, We are willing to break that tradition, we will 100% categorically be back here, without a shadow of doubt in my mind, we loved this place!! Thank you Eden Roc team for such a memorable experience!”
“Overall we had a lovely stay at Eden Roc but it isn’t quite the 5 star experience we expected The location is excellent, close to Rhodes Old Town, with a beautiful beach where we always found sunbeds available. There are three pools (although they get busy), plenty of seating areas, great pool activities, water sports and some of the best hotel entertainment we’ve experienced, including DJs, saxophonists and tribute acts. The staff and cleaners were all friendly, with a special mention to the hardworking pool attendants. Breakfast was excellent (don’t miss the orange cake!) and our sea view room had incredible views. The Italian à la carte was by far the best restaurant. Unfortunately, there were quite a few downsides. The lunch and dinner buffet lacked quality and variety, with very limited options for children beyond pasta, chips and Bolognese. The beach BBQ was extremely salty, the gyros were bland and fatty, and the burger at the Grill restaurant was poor. We also found dirty cups, flat soft drinks, and the room air conditioning wasn’t very effective. We couldn’t book all of the à la carte restaurants as they were supposedly fully booked, yet we repeatedly walked past multiple empty tables sitting unused for long periods, which was disappointing. Dining also felt rushed, with staff often trying to clear plates before we’d finished eating. Pool sunbeds are difficult to get, especially the day beds, despite the hotel enforcing the 9am towel rule. We also expected better cleanliness for a 5-star hotel, with dirty carpets and dusty railings in communal areas. Finally, more afternoon snack options would be welcome, as apart from the ice cream bar there was very little available between lunch and dinner. A great hotel in many ways, but with a few improvements it could easily live up to its 5-star rating as right now it’s more of a 3-4 star”
“There are some points that really take the rating down. The cons: - The biggest overall con was definitely the room. Didn’t feel like a five star resort - dated and didn’t give that clean feeling. I was also surprised that they didn’t have hair conditioner and lotion! First five star I stayed at that didn’t have these. Also we had a superior double room with a outdoor terrace area, which would have been nice to use if it wasn’t so dirty! - We were quite excited to try some of the 7 restaurants on site, only to come and discover that all are fully booked. This was a big shame as we were limited to the buffets. - The app is buggy. I tried to book tennis - when I selected 2 people, it said that I couldn’t book because it didn’t match the number of guests we were(3). When I selected 3, it said that there was only availability for 2 people so I couldn’t book tennis. Not a great user experience. - Not enough space for everyone at the evening entertainment. If you didn’t get there early enough to secure a table, you’d be standing, sitting on a ledge or would have to sit on a sunbed. Just didn’t really feel like enough space in general - all the sunbeds near the main pool were taken. Thankfully there are enough sunbeds at the beach Pros: - Can’t fault the service, it was great - Loved the pool and the beach - Food was good and lots of variety at the buffets”
“Just finished a 10 day holiday here and it was amazing. The staff and hospitality was great The private beach, evening entertainment pools and activities were all top notch The only negative was when we arrived, all 7 bookable restaurants were fully booked, so we had to eat and remain in the main buffet area. Overall a good hotel within close proximity to the airport and Rhodes old town”
“A First-Time Guest Perspective as an experienced travel family, we wanted to share our honest, constructive feedback as first-time guests at Eden Roc. My husband has over 20 years of professional experience in the hospitality business, so we understand industry standards well and know what it takes to run a high-volume resort. We understand this hotel has a very loyal following, but this was our personal experience. The Positives: The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean, and highly maintained. From check-in onwards, the reception staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. The individual staff members work extremely hard, which we genuinely appreciated. Additionally, the food at the à la carte restaurants is high-quality and beautifully presented, and the cocktails at the 800 lounge bar were delicious (I highly recommend the piña colada!). The Rooms & Amenities: We stayed in a Lounge 800 pool view bungalow. It was relatively standard, aside from the direct access to a smaller private pool. However, a major downside was the air conditioning, which is only located in the lounge area and does not reach the bedroom; we had to request a fan just to sleep comfortably. Furthermore, if you do not claim a sunbed by 9:00 AM, you are left without one. Where the Hotel Falls Short: Unfortunately, the service lets this hotel down massively and was our main disappointment. We faced long queues for drinks at every single bar. Even with reservations at the à la carte restaurants, the waiting times were poor. On our first night, we waited 15 minutes past our booking time just to be acknowledged, and another 15 minutes to receive menus. We also celebrated a milestone event during our stay. Despite pre-booking a cake and balloons, the execution was a complete letdown. While reception tried their best to rectify it, it still dampened the occasion. Service Recovery: To the hotel's credit, the staff and manager were excellent on our final day. They listened to our feedback and provided us with a gesture of goodwill because of our bad experience. We deeply appreciated this professional response, which showed they do care about their guests' experiences. Conclusion: It is clear the hotel is severely short-staffed yet continues to operate at full capacity. While the frontline team does their best and management handles complaints well after the fact, the overarching operations need to change. Management needs to prioritize guest satisfaction by adjusting guest volume to match their staffing levels.”
