Tripplo's verdict, based on guest reviews
Tripplo’s analysis · Updated 10 October 2026 · How we review hotels
Conrad Maldives Rangali Island suits travellers who want variety within one resort, since it spans two islands connected by a bridge with villas stretching 500 metres over the ocean. Guests can dine underwater at Ithaa Restaurant and choose from three swimming pools alongside an award-winning overwater and lagoon spa. Floor-to-ceiling views of sea or beach feature throughout the rooms. The trade-off is scale: the extensive layout means longer walks between areas, and like most resorts here it requires a seaplane transfer, with dining and activities priced at a premium.
Guests score it 9.6 out of 10 — the average across the 4 hotels we list on Ari Atoll is 9.6.
What Guests Loved
- The all-glass Ithaa Undersea Restaurant sits five meters below the surface, offering uninterrupted views of surrounding reef life while dining, a rarity even among high-end Maldivian properties.
- Water villas extend far into the Indian Ocean on stilted walkways, giving guests a sense of seclusion and unobstructed horizon views rarely matched by resorts closer to shore.
Things to Consider
- Reaching the resort involves a scenic but time-consuming seaplane journey from Malé, which can add cost and logistical planning to travel arrangements.
- Given the resort's considerable length across two islands, getting between villas, dining venues, and the spa often requires buggy transport or a fair amount of walking.
