The Golden Mile offers an iconic beachfront position within easy reach of both the old town and Puerto Banús; Puerto Banús is the better choice if you want shopping and nightlife right outside the door.
Yes — most are very well set up for families, with spacious rooms to accommodate larger groups. Marbella Club and Puente Romano are particularly strong in this regard, with extensive gardens, children's clubs and easy beach access.
At least eight to twelve weeks in advance for the most sought-after properties during peak season, and longer still for suites and private villas. If you are travelling in spring or early autumn, four to six weeks ahead is generally sufficient.
Expect to pay in the region of €350 to €1,200 or more per night during peak season, depending on the hotel and room category. Rates are often considerably lower in low and shoulder season.
