Frequently Asked Questions
A riad is a traditional townhouse palace built around a courtyard, often with a roof terrace and plunge pool — intimate, quiet and personal in the middle of the medina's bustle. Choose a riad for atmosphere and proximity to the souks; choose a classic resort for full-scale pools, spas and family-friendliness.
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are perfect for Marrakech, with warm days without the extreme summer heat. Agadir on the coast is milder and works essentially year-round, winter included.
The range is wide: elegant riads start around £150–270 a night, while Marrakech's world-famous palace hotels can cost £600 and up. Agadir's beach resorts mostly sit around £150–300.
Marrakech for culture, souk shopping, gastronomy and hammam rituals — a sensory experience rather than a beach holiday. Agadir for classic sun and sand with a promenade, golf and family-friendly resorts. Many combine the two: a few nights in each.
Absolutely — it's Morocco's take on the spa ritual: steam, black soap and a scrub glove that leaves your skin like new. The best luxury hotels and riads have beautiful hammams of their own, often with private sessions for couples.
